The Time Machine Question

This is an experiment I’m trying to see how much discussion an open-ended question would generate here on Medium. I’m curious to hear your answer to this question:

You build yourself a time machine in order to travel to the past and warn yourself not to do something very important that changed your life.

However, the plot backfires when your younger self spots the time machine and steals it, leaving you to live the last seven years of your life again, older and wiser.

What advice were you trying to give your younger self? And now that you’re reliving the last seven years, what will you do differently?

If you’re too shy to comment, I understand. You can also email me your answer and I’ll post it anonymously (kikischirr@gmail.com). Please take a moment to “favorite” this story so that it spreads, and check back to read other people’s answers tomorrow!
