Sorry to be pedantic here, but I don't know if I'd say "200 years" in the title--the current incarnations of the tiles greatly resemble the game Ya Pei and share some game play traits. Ya Pei originated during the Sung Dynasty which ran from 960-1279 CE, so to say Mahjong is only 200 years old seems a bit unfair. Great article, though. Solid points, a good thing to discuss.
