I think in acknowledging that the societal pressure not to cry is 100x stronger for men, you are also acknowledging that there are gender roles at play here. So I think you’re quick to dismiss something that needs discussion — people (regardless of gender) deserve the right to express a range of emotions at work. If you disagree with feminism, you can still agree with that. Let’s focus on that message rather than detracting from it over more minor points.
